I just stumbled upon what may be my new favorite online cookware shop: Bram. Bram is a business based in Sonoma, California, where they have a storefront, but they also sell their wares online. And their wares are the kind of thing I have been hunting for in bits and pieces, now collected all in one place. Clay pots, bakers, and tians. Heaven!

On Sundays, we like to find a nice spot for a walk. A special one that allows us to appreciate the beauty of the season that is passing. Yesterday, this is where it took us. We saw cows and sheep and goats and chicken and pigs, and when we returned home, I baked and made a salmon poached in olive oil dinner while Lulu took a long nap.

Maybe that's why I don't like cooking it: the element of surprise is fairly limited ("Oooh look, he put cranberries in the stuffing!") ...

Anheuser-Busch InBev has called off a deal to sell the German beer brand Beck’s. Wirtschaftswoche reports that the sale of 13 Eastern European breweries, approved last week, eased A-B InBev’s debt burden enough that it no longer needs to sell Beck’s. U.S. buyout firm Bain Capital was set to buy Beck’s for $2.5 billion.
